Berea is a Cleveland-area college town in Cuyahoga County, home to Baldwin Wallace University and once known as 'Grindstone City' for the sandstone quarrying industry that made it famous. Berea Municipal Utilities operates the city's own electric distribution system, though the same lake-effect snow and summer storms that affect the rest of Cuyahoga County can still knock out power for hours or days. Backup Power Solutions installs Generac, Kohler, and Cummins standby generators for homeowners throughout Berea and the surrounding area.
We serve Berea and nearby communities including Olmsted Falls, Middleburg Heights, and Brook Park. Our technicians handle Cuyahoga County permit requirements and Berea Municipal Utilities interconnection paperwork from start to finish.
Many Berea homes, especially those near the historic quarry district and Baldwin Wallace campus, have older electrical panels that need evaluation before a generator can be safely connected. Our licensed electricians check your panel capacity during the free estimate, and Synchrony financing is available to help spread out the cost.
Backup Power Solutions serves all of Northeast Ohio. Our licensed technicians travel throughout Summit, Stark, Portage, Medina, Lorain, Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Mahoning, and Trumbull counties.
